As part of the ecommerce store setup process for a client, SingPost eCommerce would set up a series of kick-off meetings with a client’s Business Units to allow SingPost to generate a business requirement document (BRD) and use case document. These are standard documents that SingPost generates for ecommerce clients during the Define and Design phase. The objectives of the BRD are two-fold:
- Through a list of questions, SingPost aims to gather information to define the requirements for a client’s ecommerce stores. For example, SingPost will issue Product Identification and Product Information documents for a client to identify products it would like to sell online, along with details on the product’s attributes to be shown on the site
- Using questionnaires, templates and kick-off meetings, SingPost will generate a business requirements document for a client to help align business units and departments on the scope of the engagement. SingPost’s business scoping framework can be seen below.
SingPost eCommerce will follow a meeting structure like the one seen below to allow for gathering of business requirements in a timely manner.
